  • Overview
    This report covers about equipment ethics and how research facilities and equipment are an essential implement or measure in these days. According to the importance of research facilities and equipment, cultivation of facilities and equipment has improved, however inefficient utilization of research facilities and equipment have been repetitively pointed out. Thus, the need for guidelines which covers to discourage redundant and excessive investment, and to promote reuse of idle and low-used equipment were emphasized, hence NFEC offers the life-cycle management standard guidelines, from introduction to disposal, for government-funded research facilities and equipment.
    However, inefficient utilization still exists in case of misrecognition on the research facilities and equipment. Additionally, NFEC suggests a term, 'Equipment Ethics', for practical use on research facilities and equipment, with a desirable responsibility on purchase management on facilities and equipment.
