The purpose of this report is to promote the introduction of equipment by domestic manufacturers by analyzing the domestic manufacturer status of the top 20 critical research equipment and providing the related information. The subjects of analysis are 49,727 units of research equipment in the amount of 7,794.6 billion won registered from 2005 to March of 2015 at the national facilities and equipment management service of NTIS (http://nfec.ntis.go.kr).

The top 20 research equipment exceeding total installation cost of 5 billion won have been derived by investigating and analyzing the research equipment information registered in the national research equipment and facility management service of NTIS to classify the manufacturers as domestic and foreign by analyzing equipment name and keyword, etc.

Through the recent report, it is expected that the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers on the research equipment or the oversea leak of domestic finances could be identified after identifying the domestic manufacturer status of the top 20 critical equipment that are most widely used in the national R&D.
