1. Purpose of Handling Personal Information

The National Research Facilities & Equipment Center (NFEC) handles personal information for the following purposes. The processed personal information shall not be used for purposes other than those specified below. If these purposes need to be edited, approval shall be obtained in advance.

1. ① Website Service Inquiry
   The minimum amount of personal information (name, email address, and nationality) is collected to answer inquiries through the website services.

2. Handling and Retention Period of Personal Information

1. ① The NFEC shall handle and keep personal information during the period stipulated by the related law or within the handling and retention period agreed by the user at the collection of personal information
2. ② Each personal information handling & retention period shall be as follows:
   • 1) Supply of Services
     The personal information relating to the supply of services shall be used and kept from the date that the collection and usage were agreed upon by the user until the date that the answer to the inquiry is sent for statistical purposes to provide better services.
     - Grounds for keeping personal information: Agreed upon by the user
   • ※ In principle, expired personal information should be immediately disposed of.

3. Personal Information to Be Handled

   1. - Required: Name, email, nationality
   2. - Optional: N/A

4. Disposal of Personal Information

Once the planned goal is achieved, the NFEC shall dispose of personal information without hesitation.

5. Securing the Safety of Personal Information

To secure the safety of personal information, the NFEC takes the following technical, managerial, and physical actions in accordance with Article 29 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

6. Privacy Manager

1. ① The NFEC takes care of personal information handling-related duties and complaints through ‘Contact Us.’

7. Changes in Privacy Policy

1. ① This policy shall be effective as of May 27, 2015.
