Overview
The research facilities and equipment are an essential element in carrying out R&D as the substructure of science and technology. At the same time, it is a key indicator assessing science and technology competitiveness. So far, however, it’s been almost impossible to find data that has examined if research facilities and equipment are properly allocated through analysis of investments in them. As analysis of budget appropriateness is needed to make a rational investment decision, this paper covers the following in detail using the table of contents: ‘analysis of basic R&D by region,’ ‘analysis of appropriateness of investments in regional research equipment’ and ‘conclusion on appropriateness of investments in research equipment.’
