Overview
In Korea, intangible infrastructure (knowledge assets, standards) accounts for a great portion of science & technology activities. However, it is necessary to advance the science & technology infrastructure, focusing on the explicit and operational unit ‘tangible infrastructure’ (research equipment & facilities, research resources, research information) because of a strong institutional standpoint. This report is published for the purpose of increasing research productivity after improving the quantitative and qualitative levels of the research outcomes that should be secured and managed by the government, helping people recognize that research outcomes are the nation’s key resource, establishing a cooperative system among departments, and promoting public relations that allow the research outcomes to be widely used among science engineers.
