In Germany, German Research Foundation (DFG) takes the ownership if the research equipment exceeds the value of € 10,000 (KRW 13,000,000). The purchased research equipment are used by principal research institutions over the period of their study in the form of rent from DFG.
They also operate Department of Infrastructure and Department of Scientific Equipment in order to support research equipment procurements and provide advisory services on equipment purchases, specifications, operation and many other technical issues.
