Main objective of this report is to provide basic statistical data for the national policy on large research facilities funded by national R&D program. The basic statistical data was based on 2014 national large research facilities survey results, the totally 132 national research facilities in Korea. Total government investment by national R&D program of Korea in year 2014 for building & operating national large research facilities was $12.2 billion USD. Top 3 government ministries were Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP), total amount of $10.1 billion USD, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIC), total amount of $1.4 billion USD, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), total amount of $0.2 billion USD. The report also provided analytical data of total government investment by not only from each ministry but also by operating agency or specialized institute, regional basis, big science and technology classification, major investment areas.
