This report was published to introduce the roadmap chosen at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Germany.
The BMBF requests expert assessment and science policy evaluation on a large research facility investment plan for the basic science research initiated by the HGF, WGL and Max Planck Society to the Science Council. It also organizes and operates a science council experts group for government employees co-addressing the policies of German and domestic & international science-related departments. It carries out expert assessment using an expert group and sub-expert group and evaluates science policies relating to scientific quality such as the scientific potential of the research program.
