This report summarized capital expenditures on research facilities and equipment among the nation’s total R&D expenses. Research equipment and the actual facility expenditures were separated from the annual publication ‘White Paper on Industrial R & D.’ Total R&D expenses for the past eight years (2005 ？ 2012) were divided into industry, business, and college. The changes in annual R&D expenses are reviewed, and the current construction and sharing of research facilities and equipment are stated. For the efficient management of research facilities and equipment, this report summarized the introduction, registration, and utilization of research equipment in 2013 and management and policy on the relocation of idle and low-utilization equipment.
