The RED(Research Equipment Deliberation) service is a comprehensive support website providing the information necessary for a strategic investment of national (scientific) research equipment as well as an online deliberation feature.

Main Functions of the Research Equipment Deliberation(RED) Service

The RED(Research Equipment Deliberation) Service supports to accomplish more efficient and convenient deliberation by providing an online deliberation feature of the Research Equipment Budget Deliberation Committee supervised by the NFEC. It also supports to perform a ministry-wide deliberation on the research equipment that cost more than $100,000 USD to enable an integrated management using a feature to provide the Research Equipment Introduction Review and Assessment Group information and to submit review results by each ministry online.

As an online integrated management of review results is enabled, even results on the reviews performed in the past can be checked with convenience. After setting up an equipment, it provides a feature to check up on the status of performing the review results and the equipment that have omitted the review by linking with the National Technology Information Service(NTIS) equipment information.

It also provides a review manual containing data and related forms, etc. necessary while setting up a research equipment introduction plan and a self-review feature on the redundancy of research equipment, etc. Redundancy review agency service, recommendation of review members and review agency service of the Research Equipment Introduction Review and Assessment Group, etc may be requested to the NFEC.
